Ms. Smith lives in Mundelein, IL and works in Highland Park where she restores wooden

carousel animals for Lisa Parr of Old Parr's, Inc., one of only five major carousel

restorers in the country.  Ms. Smith also paints furniture and draws from the figure.  Here

Smith gives us an unorthodox presentation of a bed headboard and footboard.  The

original pieces are transformed not only by paint and drawing, but also by the out-of-

context parallel presentation on the wall that creates a kind of altarpiece.
